Swimming
We run weekly swimming lessons as a core part of our PE instruction for years 3 & 4. In years 5 & 6 the children swim for half the year.
The end result is that virtually every child leaves us being able to swim well, and with confidence in and around water.
We hire the Ridgeway pool on a Tuesday and employ Trudi as our qualified instructor.
We ask parents to make a small financial contribution each term towards the huge costs of running our swimming programme.
The children work towards a series of swimming awards and get the chance to show off their skills in our end of year house swimming gala.
